ICAI to launch Virtual Executive Master Programme on New Age Auditors, Check programme details here

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is set to launch a Virtual Executive Masters Programme on New Age Auditors. The programme will commence from November 23, 2020 onwards and will be conducted in sessions over a period of 16 days from November 23 to December 8, 2020. 

The executive master’s programme will accustom the chartered accountant professionals with the evolving regulatory and technological advance in the economy along with providing the new age auditors with futuristic skill sets in digital technologies and practices in the changing environment which will help to protect the public interest.

First batch in November

According to a statement released, the institution has added that the future of the profession is in its ability to change, evolve and adapt to the changing environment. The first batch of the Virtual Executive Master Programme – New Age Auditors will be launched on November 23, 2020. The launch will be addressed by the faculty from Practice Portfolio including SFO, CBI, RBI and Banks, Members from MRA Countries, Overseas Chapters of ICAI.  

Centre for Audit Quality established

A Centre for Audit Quality was recently established as Special Purpose Directorate to help in ensuring consistent improvement in the audit quality and also boost the Indian Firms Global standing along with making a conducive environment for research and develop a systematic audit quality framework. 

The Centre for Audit Quality will also play an important role in building the investor’s confidence and also develop public trust. CA Atul Kumar Gupta, President, ICAI while announcing the launch of the programme stated that audit quality is a mark of the audit profession and in order to be ready for the future, the professional accountant is required to learn and equip themselves in the new age of technology skills along with acquiring managerial skills and continuing their prowess in accountancy, finance, taxation, and business law.

He further added that auditors need to reinvent themselves and such programmes will help in keeping them up to date with the new skill sets required for the global environment, organization sustainability, and practices in a changing environment.
